Synopsis

After Nora’s funeral, a mother starts a journal to hold on, supported by her partner. Years later, during a gathering at the family home hosted by their son, Alana finds it: the silence breaks, grief becomes memory, and love an anchor.

Director's note

"Fall. Rise. Continue... for life."

When life imposes trials that seem to sweep everything away, something greater than fear and collapse can remain: the ability to hold on, endure, and rise again.

At the heart of the project is the idea that resilience can be intimate, sometimes silent, like the decision to keep moving forward even when the impulse is gone.

In Nora, love is a vital resource. It does not deny pain; it faces it and makes meaning possible again in everyday life.

The film's direction and tone follow that line: restraint, precision, and attention to detail, whether it is a light, a glance, or a silence. Nora carries a universal message: beyond any trial, light can return, and love can become an anchor, a point of support.

Nora, a deeply human project.

Nora is a deeply human project. A story told from the heart, echoing emotions many have lived through. Because resilience and love can move mountains. And because without a team, Nora wouldn't exist: let's start by introducing the crew.

Portrait of Adrien Hug, DIT on Nora.

Tech Crew

Meet our DIT: Adrien HUG (CinéCréatis). He enjoyed linking production and post-production, preparing the edit while staying on set.

Rubèn, Julien, Léo and Anna on set.

A beautiful moment of connection on set. Rubèn, Julien, Léo and Anna.

Mickaël TENA in the role of the priest.

Acting

Meet our priest, Mickaël TENA, actor, improv theatre with Compagnie A Tour de Rôle. What he enjoyed: saying yes to the project right away for the human adventure and the people he met... and stepping into the role of a priest (pretty fun coming from a metalhead).

Portrait of Nino AGOUNI.

Acting

Meet our partygoer, a close friend of one of the main characters: Nino AGOUNI. An actor since 2023, he works across theatre, film, and voice acting. You can also see him in the series Au cœur des causes, directed by Johanna Hoareau and Mikael Foisset. What he enjoyed: fully committing to live a creative and human adventure.

Hadrien, Léo, Rubèn, Lila, Jannet, Alexandra and Lucas before the clap.

Seconds before the clap: full focus. Beautiful composition by Jules. With Hadrien, Léo, Rubèn, Lila, Jannet, Alexandra and Lucas.

Lila as Alana.

Acting

Meet one of our beautiful protagonists, Alana, portrayed by Lila. Nora is her first on-set experience. Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Acting at EICAR Lyon, she's training hard and taking her first steps on screen with real drive. What she enjoyed: pushing herself and meeting people as passionate as she is.

Rubèn, camera operator on Nora, wearing his Amour T-shirt.

Ruben, our camera operator, wearing a T-shirt that captures the spirit of the project: a passion for cinema, and the desire to tell a story with meaning. One word says it all: Love ("Amour" in French). For the crew, for the story, for what we want to share.

Portrait of Iliana CHERIFI.

Acting

Meet one of our actresses: Iliana CHERIFI, passionate about acting, she loves bringing characters to life and sharing real emotions on screen. What she enjoyed: the human side of the project, the crew's kindness and the energy on set.

Maxime GARCIA, assistant director on Nora.

Tech Crew

Maxime GARCIA: the assistant director, a true multi-tasker on set. Yep, he's the one in the middle with the motorbike jacket (almost as multifunctional as he is): a key pillar of the shoot who did a lot for this project. His role: coordinating the teams and keeping the shoot running smoothly, so every scene stays on pace. What he enjoyed: "a great project and an even better vibe. What more could you ask for?"

Fabien FISCHER as Tom.

Acting

Meet our Tom: Fabien FISCHER, actor, stylist and model, based in Marseille. What he enjoyed: everyone's human qualities, a warm and welcoming atmosphere that created a real sense of trust... and lightness on set.
